남산스퀘어 전면부 외부 공간을 새롭게 리노베이션한 프로젝트입니다. 기존 주차 공간과 보행 동선을 명확히 분리하여 이용자의 편의성과 공간의 기능성을 함께 향상시켰습니다. 진입부는 남산의 지형적·문화적 특성을 반영해 장소성을 강화하는 방향으로 설계하였으며, 전통 조경의 개념을 현대적으로 재해석한 식재 계획을 적용해 주변 환경과 자연스럽게 어우러지도록 구성하였습니다.

공간의 시각적 중심에는 약 10,000개의 알루미늄 모듈로 구성된 이미지 월을 설치하였습니다. CA PLAN의 ‘Urban Dress’ 제품을 적용한 이미지 월은 모듈 표면의 정밀한 가공과 상·하 방향의 각도 조절을 통해 빛의 방향에 따라 섬세한 음영을 만들어냅니다. 그라데이션 형태로 중첩된 우리나라의 산세 이미지는 식재 공간과 조화를 이루며 입체적이고 서정적인 분위기를 형성합니다. 또한 경량 알루미늄 소재와 효율적인 고정 구조 시스템을 적용하여 설치와 유지관리의 편의성까지 확보하였습니다.

This project involved the renovation of the front exterior space of Namsan Square, located at the foot of Namsan Mountain. By clearly separating the existing parking area from pedestrian circulation, the design improved both user convenience and the overall functionality of the space. The entrance area was designed to strengthen the site’s identity by reflecting the geographical and cultural characteristics of Namsan, while the landscape plan reinterprets traditional Korean garden concepts in a contemporary way to create a natural connection with the surrounding environment.

At the visual center of the space is an image wall composed of approximately 10,000 aluminum modules. The wall incorporates CA PLAN’s Urban Dress system, which creates delicate variations in light and shadow through precisely fabricated module surfaces and individually controlled vertical angles. The overlapping gradient pattern depicts the layered ridgelines of Korea’s mountainous landscape, forming a three-dimensional and poetic atmosphere in harmony with the planting. Lightweight aluminum components and an efficient fixing system also provide advantages in installation, maintenance, and long-term performance.
