신한은행 프리미어청담은 청담동이라는 세련된 도시 맥락 속에서, 기존 건물을 단순히 리뉴얼하는 것을 넘어 브랜드의 위상과 정체성을 건축적으로 강화하기 위해 계획된 프로젝트입니다. 기존 커튼월 위에 새롭게 구축된 컨티넘 스킨(Continuum Skin)은 주변 명품 거리의 정제된 분위기와 조화를 이루면서도, 독자적인 조각적 존재감을 형성합니다. 유려하게 흐르는 입체적 외피는 신한은행 프리미어가 지향하는 신뢰, 품격, 혁신성을 시각적으로 표현하며, 건축물 자체가 하나의 프리미엄 브랜드의 경험입니다.

파사드의 곡선적 리듬은 외부 입면에만 머물지 않고 실내 천장, 벽체, 사인 시스템, 조명 계획으로 자연스럽게 이어지며, 방문자가 건물에 접근하는 순간부터 내부 VIP 라운지와 프라이빗 공간을 경험하는 과정까지 일관된 브랜드 흐름을 만들어냅니다. 또한 이 연속성은 시간의 변화로 확장됩니다. 주간에는 자연광과 그림자, 반사 패턴이 입체 파사드 위에 다양한 표정을 만들고, 야간에는 조명과 미디어 콘텐츠가 더해지며 동일한 외피가 미디어 파사드로 전환됩니다. 이를 통해 건축물은 낮과 밤, 외부와 내부, 물리적 공간과 감성적 경험을 연결합니다.

컨티넘 스킨(Continuum Skin)은 외부와 내부, 낮과 밤, 조형과 기능, 건축과 미디어를 하나의 흐름으로 연결하는 파사드 시스템입니다. 내부에서는 외부 조망과 자연광 유입이 가능하도록 열려 있지만, 외부에서 바라볼 때는 루버의 깊이와 곡률이 겹쳐지며 하나의 볼륨감 있는 건축적 매스로 인식됩니다. 파라메트릭 알고리즘을 통해 각 알루미늄 모듈의 곡률과 개폐 정도를 세밀하게 제어함으로써 자연광, 외부 시야, 프라이버시, 통풍, 유지관리성을 균형 있게 조율합니다. 주간에는 빛과 그림자를 만드는 조각적 파사드로, 야간에는 조명과 미디어 콘텐츠를 담는 미디어 스킨으로 전환되며, 시간에 따라 변화하는 능동적인 도시 커뮤니케이션 매체로 작동합니다.

Shinhan Bank Premier Cheongdam was designed within the refined urban context of Cheongdam-dong, not simply as a renovation of an existing building, but as an architectural strategy to elevate the brand’s status and identity. The newly added Continuum Skin, layered over the existing curtain wall, harmonizes with the sophisticated atmosphere of the luxury retail district while establishing a distinctive sculptural presence. Its flowing three-dimensional surface visually expresses the values of trust, prestige, and innovation that Shinhan Bank Premier represents, allowing the building itself to be perceived as a premium brand icon.

The curved rhythm of the façade does not remain limited to the exterior. It extends naturally into the interior ceiling, wall surfaces, signage system, and lighting design, creating a consistent brand flow from the moment visitors approach the building to their experience inside the VIP lounge and private service areas. This continuity also expands into the dimension of time. During the day, natural light, shadows, and reflections create ever-changing expressions across the three-dimensional façade; at night, integrated lighting and media content transform the same architectural skin into a media façade. In this way, the building connects day and night, exterior and interior, physical space and emotional experience as a continuous brand experience platform.

The Continuum Skin is a three-dimensional louver façade system that connects exterior and interior, day and night, form and function, architecture and media into one continuous flow. From the inside, it allows exterior views and natural daylight to enter the space, while from the outside, the depth and curvature of the louvers overlap to create the perception of a voluminous architectural mass. Through parametric algorithms, the curvature and degree of openness of each aluminum module are precisely controlled to balance daylight, exterior views, privacy, ventilation, and maintenance efficiency. During the day, it functions as a sculptural façade shaped by light and shadow; at night, it transforms into a media skin that carries lighting and media content, becoming an active urban communication medium that changes over time.
